Perisesarma darwinensis
Subbranchial and subhepatic regions below the orbits of the eye covered with reticulated network of dense granules with short setae (= pterygostome). Carapace quadrate. Tubercules on dactylus of male cheliped approximately symmetrical numbering 15-16 and spaced further apart distally. The merus of pereriopod is 4 twice as long as broad.
Vernacular name: Darwin shore crab.
This pretty red-clawed species has been regarded as uncommon but it prefers back-mangrove areas.
