Siphonaria guamensis
SUMMARY
These gastropods are often confused with nacellid and lottiid limpets but the animals are quite different. They respire through a lung rather than gills and the position of the opening of the lung is marked by a distinct notch on the inner surface of the shell or two close ribs on the outside. The taxonomy of siphonariids is very confused and they are difficult to identify.
