Adults less than 100mm in length, eyes small, elongate, flask shaped, widest near midlength and occular scales fused. Rostral plate short. Carapace without median carina. Lateral process of fifth thoracic somite single with a broad based curved spine directed anterolaterally. Lateral process of sixth and seventh thoracic somite rounded posterolaterally. Abdominal somites lacking median carina. Telson with supplementary dorsal carinae, sub medial teeth with movable apices.
