SUMMARY
Carapace ovate and flat with antenules not visible. Mouthparts with a blue tinge. Only three pairs of pereiopods (walking legs), fourth pair much reduced into a dorsal position. Flattened abdomen asymmetrical tucked under the body as per the true crabs but the telson and uropods are well developed.
Vernacular name: Mangrove porcelain crab
This small porcellanid crab with colourful mouthparts is normally found under logs and debris in intertidal areas. They use the long setae on their mouthparts to filter seawater for zooplankton
