SUMMARY
A species of predatory gastropods. Abundant on rocky intertidal shores feeding mainly on barnacles and bivalves. It drills holes in its prey using the radular teeth combined with acidic secretions from a special gland in the foot. They are often covered in epibiota and difficult to identify. It has a dark outer lip to the shell and the teeth are unequal in size.
