Episesarma singaporense
SUMMARY
Subbranchial and subhepatic regions below the orbits of the eye covered with reticulated network of dense granules with short setae (= pterygostome). Carapace quadrate with tufts of setae on the dorsal surface, broad front and lateral margins almost parallel with one anterolateral tooth. Chelipeds are nearly equal in size and red in colour.
Vernacular name: Singapore vinegar crab.
This is one of the more common vinegar crabs. In Thailand, like elsewhere, they will climb trees at night in search of food. This is especially the case with smaller specimens.
